The Cannes Yachting Festival is fast approaching, and Contest Yachts has confirmed that its all-new Contest 63CS will be making its world debut at the show.
Joining the Contest 63CS in Port Canto will be the game-changing 17-metre Contest 55CS.
Contest 63CS
Designed for short-handed high-performance cruising, the luxury 19-metre Contest 63CS from the renowned Dutch bluewater yacht builder displays incredible onboard space, both above and below deck.
A first for a yacht of this size in the luxury performance sector, in both the three and four cabin versions, the Contest 63CS offers two identical double VIP guest suites forward of the saloon. Complementing the owner’s suite aft, these two mirrored guest cabins each have an ensuite with shower and toilet.
Natural light has been the focus of the spacious master cabin, with double portholes, skylights above the wardrobes and an optional panorama transom window, and this light, airy and open feel continues in the saloon with standing eye level panoramic windows.
On deck, it’s about smart sailing with simple but sophisticated short-handed systems with the option of either a carbon or aluminium rig, and the choice of in-boom or in-mast reefing, with all lines leading aft for total control from the cockpit.
The option of a self-tacking jib reinforces this remarkable yacht’s short-handed capabilities, while the cockpit arrangement showcases Contest’s updated aft dual helm stations with an open, flat walkway through to the deep and comfortable forward leisure cockpit, as well as fold-out access down to the lowered beach deck and tender garage.
Contest 55CS
A British Yachting Award winner which combines contemporary design and timeless appeal, the Contest 55CS is as equally at home crossing oceans as it is anchoring in a secluded bay for lunch.
The advanced hull form optimises performance, stability and onboard accommodation, with an enlarged aft master suite boasting a spectacular wide transom window which reveals stunning seascape views when the aft transom garage door is lowered.
Incorporating styling and detailing from the larger yachts in the range, the Contest 55CS has a sleek coach roof sweeping aft into the two-section cockpit, with a deep seated and ‘curved-for-comfort’ forward leisure cockpit connected to a twin helm station aft via a simple central walkthrough.
Creating the perfect balance between ease of sailing, performance and onboard comfort, the Contest 63CS and 55CS will be available to view throughout the show.
